Die Neurofibromatose Typ 1 (NF1) ist eine autosomal-dominante Erkrankung hoher Penetranz mit sehr variabler Expressivitat. Epidemiologische Daten uber den Anteil kraniofazialer Manifestationen fehlen bisher. An der Klinik fur Mund-Kiefer-Gesichtschirurgie der Universitat Hamburg wurden bisher 74 Patienten mit NF1 behandelt.
