Anti-neurofilament protein antibodies in opsoclonus-myoclonus

Journal of Neuroimmunology, 1987
Opsoclonus-myoclonus (OM) is a neurological disorder usually occurring in infancy, clinically manifested by various involuntary movements. The pathogenesis of OM is unknown, but since the disease often is associated with viral infection or with neuroblastoma, an immunologic basis for OM has been postulated.

Knockout Models of Neurofilament Proteins

2010
Neurofilaments (NFs) are the most prominent cytoskeleton components of large myelinated axons from adult central and peripheral nervous systems. In the last 15 years, the gene targeting technique has been widely used to investigate the role of NF proteins in neuronal function.

Sequence of the rabbit neurofilament protein L

Journal of Neuroscience Research, 1991
AbstractIn the course of screening a rabbit brain cDNA library with a probe for the H neurofilament protein, we identified a neurofilament L‐cDNA. Its nucleotide sequence is 88% identical to that of human, indicating that L is highly conserved among species.

Neurofilament-associated protein phosphatase 2A: Its possible role in preserving neurofilaments in filamentous states

Biochemistry, 1995
Neurofilament phosphatase (NF-phosphatase) activity, which dephosphorylates NF proteins phosphorylated by cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase (A-kinase), was detected in NF fractions prepared from bovine spinal cords. This phosphatase was suggested to be associated with NFs by gel filtration and sedimentation analysis and was further demonstrated by ...

NEUROFILAMENT PROTEIN IN CLONAL LINES OF MOUSE NEUROBLASTOMA

Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology, 1978
As indicated by immunofluorescence with neurofilament antiserum and by electron microscopy two neuroblastoma clones in suspension culture contained a pool of neurofilament subunits which could be induced to assemble into filaments following exposure to vinblastine and colchicine.

MERKEL CELL TUMOR COEXPRESSING CYTOKERATIN AND NEUROFILAMENT PROTEINS

Acta Pathologica Japonica, 1987
Whorled filaments 10 nm in width were identified by anti‐intermediate filaments antibodies in a Merkel cell tumor from a 52‐year‐old man. Immunohistochemlcal tests revealed that the tumor was stained with anti‐keratin antibody and antibodies against the 68‐kd and 200‐kd subunits of neurofilament proteins but not antibody against the 150‐kd subunlt ...

[Neurofilament protein light in multiple sclerosis].

Zhonghua yi xue za zhi, 2008
To determine if neurofilament protein light (NF-L) and anti-NF-L antibody can be used as biologic markers in diagnosing multiple sclerosis (MS) and assessing prognosis thereof.Samples of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and serum were corrected from 63 MS patients, 15 patients with neuromyelitis optica (ONM), 31 patients with other inflammatory neurological ...
