Sugammadex versus neostigmine in pediatric patients: a prospective randomized study
Background and objectives: Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors may cause postoperative residual curarization when they are used for reversal of neuromuscular blockade. Sugammadex reverses neuromuscular blockade by chemical encapsulation and is not associated

Neuromuscular monitoring and its importance in neuromuscular blockade☆
Introduction: The incorporation of new guidelines or strategies as part of good practices in the use of muscle relaxants is not a requirement at present in the practice of anesthesia. There are only action recommendations designed to persuade clinicians of the fact that neuromuscular monitoring is a very useful tool for the rational use of muscle ...

Ectodermal tissue excised from Xenopus embryos self‐organizes into a three‐dimensional mucociliary organoid. Here, we generate a neural variant, termed neurobot, by implanting neural precursor cells. Neurobots develop mature neurons, adopt distinct morphologies, exhibit more complex motility, and respond differentially to neuroactive compounds. Imaging

Temporal and Cell‐Specific Regulation of Synaptic Homeostasis by the Chromatin Remodeler Chd1
Chd1, the Drosophila homologue of mammalian CHD2 ‐ a gene linked to autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disability, is required for synaptic homeostatic plasticity. Chd1 in glia is necessary for the rapid induction of synaptic homeostasis, whereas Chd1 in motoneurons, muscle, and glia is critical for long‐term maintenance.

Inadequate Neuromuscular Blockade Due to Donepezil During General Anaesthesia for Cataract Surgery: A Case Report [PDF]
Donepezil, an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor used to treat dementia and Alzheimer's disease, can interfere with non-depolarising neuromuscular blockers by increasing synaptic acetylcholine, potentially leading to inadequate neuromuscular blockade.
