Odd-order differential equations with deviating arguments: asymptomatic behavior and oscillation
Despite the growing interest in studying the oscillatory behavior of delay differential equations of even-order, odd-order equations have received less attention.

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Evolution of Ultracold, Neutral Plasmas [PDF]
We present the first large-scale simulations of an ultracold, neutral plasma, produced by photoionization of laser-cooled xenon atoms, from creation to initial expansion, using classical molecular dynamics methods with open boundary conditions.

This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

Surface Modification of NiFe Anode-Support for Thin-Film Solid-Oxide Fuel Cell
A dense NiO-Fe2O3 (NiFe) pellet has been developed as a potential anode-support for thin-film solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). However, preparation of dense NiFe is very challenging.

Spectroscopic Measurement of Hydrogen Atom Density in a Plasma Produced with 28 GHz ECH in QUEST
The spatial distribution of the hydrogen atom density was evaluated in a spherical tokamak (ST) plasma sustained only with 28 GHz electron cyclotron heating (ECH). The radially resolved Hδ emissivity was measured using multiple viewing chord spectroscopy

Calorimetric detection of neutral-atom content of ion beam [PDF]
Energy deposition technique deduces neutral-beam flux or dose from measured values of incremental resistance increases in platinum wire passed through beam. Steady-state heat balance analysis led to equivalent neutral-beam current.

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
