Ion-neutralization spectroscopy
Journal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards Section A: Physics and Chemistry, 1970 The ion-neutralization spectroscopy (INS) is discussed in comparison with other spectroscopies of solids. It is shown that INS probes the local density of states of the solid at or just outside the solid surface. It is believed that this accounts for the clear-cut differences between INS results and those of other spectroscopies.
