Two Micron‐Size Dark Dimensions

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract Two extra dimensions of micron scale might simultaneously address the gauge and cosmological hierarchy problems. In this paper various observational bounds in scenarios with one and two large extra dimensions are examined, to see if they are compatible with the micron scale.

General-relativistic Radiation Transport Scheme in Gmunu. II. Implementation of Novel Microphysical Library for Neutrino Radiation—Weakhub

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
We introduce Weakhub , a novel neutrino microphysics library that provides opacities and kernels beyond conventional interactions used in the literature. This library includes neutrino–matter, neutrino–neutrino interactions and plasma process, along with

Solar neutrinos as probes of neutrino–matter interactions

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2004
Data from solar neutrino and KamLAND experiments have led to a discovery of nonzero neutrino masses. Here we investigate what these data can tell us about neutrino interactions with matter, including the poorly constrained flavor-changing nu_e-nu_tau interactions.

Study of negative binomial distribution in neutrino and anti-neutrino–nucleus interactions of CHORUS experiment

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
In this study, the charged particle multiplicity distribution produced in anti-neutrino and neutrino-nuclear emulsion interactions is studied in terms of negative binomial distribution in varying invariant mass of the hadronic system intervals for the ...

On the photon–classical electromagnetic field relationship

open access: yesAnnals of the New York Academy of Sciences, Volume 1549, Issue 1, Page 11-21, July 2025.
Abstract This paper discusses how the two ways in which the wavefunction of a free‐propagating photon can be introduced—starting from the relativistic energy−momentum relationship or based on the electromagnetic field, in particular on Riemann–Silberstein vectors—are not entirely equivalent since they can lead to different consequences regarding photon

All-sky Search for Transient Astrophysical Neutrino Emission with 10 Years of IceCube Cascade Events

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Neutrino flares in the sky are searched for in data collected by IceCube between 2011 and 2021 May. This data set contains cascade-like events originating from charged-current electron neutrino and tau neutrino interactions and all-flavor neutral-current

Theoretical highlights of neutrino-nucleus interactions

open access: yes, 2009
The recent theoretical developments in the field of neutrino-nucleus interactions in the few-GeV region are reviewed based on the presentations made at the NuInt09 Workshop. The topics of electron scattering and its connections with neutrino interactions,

Human‐AI Co‐Creativity: Does ChatGPT Make Us More Creative?

open access: yesThe Journal of Creative Behavior, Volume 59, Issue 2, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Much has been made of the apparent capacity for creativity of generative AI. However, as research expands the knowledge base regarding the capabilities and performance of this technology, the prevailing view is shifting away from “AI is creative” and towards a more balanced model of Human‐AI co‐creativity.

Simulation of a Three‐Nucleons System Transition on Quantum Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2025.
A general procedure is presented to calculate the transition probability for two nuclear states and a transition operator. The ground state is approximated through the variational quantum eigensolver and the first excited one using more sophisticated variational algorithms.

Probing CP violation with non-unitary mixing in long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments: DUNE as a case study

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
When neutrino masses arise from the exchange of neutral heavy leptons, as in most seesaw schemes, the effective lepton mixing matrix N describing neutrino propagation is non-unitary, hence neutrinos are not exactly orthonormal.
