Grazing-angle neutron diffraction
Physical Review B, 1989We report the first grazing-angle neutron-diffraction experiment. Byrelaxing all collimations except that of the incident beam, we have obtainedadequate intensity to observe simultaneously the specularly reflected and(1/bar 1/1) grazing-angle diffracted beams from the (110) surface of alarge perfect silicon crystal.

Abstract The neutron diffraction on HoB12 samples reveals to antiferromagnetic order with wave-vector q =( 2 3 1 3 1 3 ) and (0 2 3 2 3 ) . Within statistics no further peaks were detected at low angles and the magnetic ordering is commensurate with a threefold cell size.

Acta Crystallographica Section A, 1976This article re-analyses the extinction problem in diffraction. It has been proved that Hamilton's equations are valid only for mosaic crystals, type I. The solution of these equations has been found for any shape of crystal using general initial conditions.

Neutron Diffraction by a Piezoelectric Resonator
Nature, 1971IT has been reported in neutron diffraction measurements that the neutron detector signal is enhanced and can be modulated when the diffraction crystal is piezoelectrically vibrated at a resonance frequency1–9. The time averaged enhancement is an increasing function of vibration amplitude and the modulation is at twice the resonator frequency.
