Neutron and Non-Neutron Nuclear Data for Radiation Dosimetry [PDF]
Neutron nuclear data that is used in reactor dosimetry include thermal neutron cross sections and neutron resonance integrals for reactions on a target nucleus. Non-neutron nuclear data used in reactor dosimetry include isotopic compositions of target nuclides and radioactive half-lives, gamma-ray energies and intensities of reaction product nuclides ...

Variable Temperature Studies of Two Calcium Uranates α‐Ca3UO6 and Ca2UO5
The structures and thermal responses of the calcium uranates α‐Ca3UO6 and Ca2UO5 were investigated using in situ synchrotron x‐ray diffraction and neutron powder diffraction. Despite the very similar chemical compositions, the structural response of the two calcium uranates is shown to be complex and varied.

Surface hydration‐induced damage in tight oil‐bearing sandy conglomerate reservoirs
A series of techniques such as X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive spectroscopy, conductivity tests, and infrared thermal imaging were used. The key findings are the identification of a two‐stage surface hydration process and the elucidation of the effects of various minerals and elements on the hydration process ...

Radiative corrections to the neutron star mass inferred from QPO frequencies
The frequencies of kHz QPOs are widely interpreted as being indicative of the values of characteristic frequencies related to orbital motion around neutron stars, e.g., the radial epicyclic frequency. In regions directly exposed to the radiation from the

A sustainable upcycling strategy transforms tungsten carbide–cobalt (WC–Co) soft scrap into high‐performance cathode materials. Recycled Co with trace nickel (Ni) is resynthesized into stabilized LiCoO2 with superior high‐voltage durability, while the recovered tungsten is further utilized as tungsten trioxide to enhance Ni‐rich cathode interfaces ...
