Anomalous Meltwater From Ice Sheets and Ice Shelves Is a Historical Forcing
Recent mass loss from ice sheets and ice shelves is now persistent and prolonged enough that it impacts downstream oceanographic conditions. To demonstrate this, we use an ensemble of coupled GISS‐E2.1‐G simulations forced with historical estimates of ...

While the relationships between dry land surface conditions, heat, and aridity have been well‐established, few studies have addressed whether global warming will affect the ability of wet conditions to moderate high temperatures and atmospheric aridity ...

Application of spectral analysis techniques to the intercomparison of aerosol data – Part 4: Synthesized analysis of multisensor satellite and ground-based AOD measurements using combined maximum covariance analysis [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce the usage of a newly developed spectral decomposition technique – combined maximum covariance analysis (CMCA) – in the spatiotemporal comparison of four satellite data sets and ground-based observations of aerosol optical ...

Maximizing Nanosatellite Throughput via Dynamic Scheduling and Distributed Ground Stations
Nanosatellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) are an attractive platform for commercial and scientific missions, but their downlink capacity is constrained by bandwidth and by low ground station duty cycles (often under 5%).

IMF BY and the seasonal dependences of the electric field in the inner magnetosphere [PDF]
It is known that the electric field pattern at high latitudes depends on the polarity of the Y component of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF BY) and season. In this study, we investigate the seasonal and BY dependences in the inner magnetosphere

Multipoint MMS observations of fine‐scale SAPS structure in the inner magnetosphere
We present detailed observations of dynamic, fine‐scale inner magnetosphere‐ionosphere coupling at ∼3.9 RE in the Region 2 Birkeland field‐aligned current (FAC). We find that observed electrodynamic spatial/temporal scales are primarily characteristic of

The pullback approach to global Finsler geometry is adopted. Some new types of special Finsler spaces are introduced and investigated, namely, Ricci, generalized Ricci, projectively recurrent and m-projectively recurrent Finsler spaces. The properties of these special Finsler spaces are studied and the relations between them are singled out.
