Finite Difference Method and Newton's Theorem to Determine the Sum of Series

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Dasar, 2013
Problems that are often faced to prove the truth of a formula if the presented series is a series that is not the formula of arithmetic and geometric series. One proof among the most commonly proofs used is the proof by mathematical induction. This study

Development of Four-Tier Multiple Choice Test Instrument to Identify Students' Concept Understanding of Newton's Law Material [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Physics learning is learning that requires students to understand the concepts. In fact, most students still do not understand the concepts they have learned, especially the concepts in Newton's Law so that it can cause misconceptions.

Newton's law for a trajectory of concentration of solutions to nonlinear Schrodinger equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
One of important problems in mathematical physics concerns derivation of point dynamics from field equations. The most common approach to this problem is based on WKB method.

Non-Destructive Method for Estimating Log Volume for Melia Azedarach L. Trees in Erbil-Iraqi Kurdistan Region

open access: yesARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, 2016
The accuracy of four traditional formulas (Smalian, Huber, Bruce and Newton) to calculate log volumes was compared and tested against volumes determined by the water-displacement technique (xylometer).

New Fractional Derivative Expression of the Shifted Third-Kind Chebyshev Polynomials: Application to a Type of Nonlinear Fractional Pantograph Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2022
The main goal of this paper is to develop a new formula of the fractional derivatives of the shifted Chebyshev polynomials of the third kind. This new formula expresses approximately the fractional derivatives of these polynomials in the Caputo sense in ...

hanalogue of Newton's binomial formula [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1998
In this letter, the $h$--analogue of Newton's binomial formula is obtained in the $h$--deformed quantum plane which does not have any $q$--analogue. For $h=0$, this is just the usual one as it should be. Furthermore, the binomial coefficients reduce to $\frac{n!}{(n-k)!}$ for $h=1$. \\ Some properties of the $h$--binomial coefficients are also given. \\

Enhancing the Accuracy of Solving Riccati Fractional Differential Equations

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2022
In this paper, we solve Riccati equations by using the fractional-order hybrid function of block-pulse functions and Bernoulli polynomials (FOHBPB), obtained by replacing x with xα, with positive α. Fractional derivatives are in the Caputo sense.

Alleviating the H0 Tension in Scalar–Tensor and Bi-Scalar–Tensor Theories

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
Herein, we investigate scalar–tensor and bi-scalar–tensor modified theories of gravity that can alleviate the H0 tension. In the first class of theories, we show that by choosing particular models with a shift-symmetric friction term we are able to ...

Inverse central ordering for the Newton interpolation formula

open access: yesNumerical Algorithms, 2022
AbstractAn inverse central ordering of the nodes is proposed for the Newton interpolation formula. This ordering may improve the stability for certain distributions of nodes. For equidistant nodes, an upper bound of the conditioning is provided.
