Využití optických zesilovačů v sítích NG-PON2

open access: green, 2014
The aim of the thesis was to introduce the standard ITU-T G.989. Introduction deals with passive network architecture, which clarifies the basic functional elements that occur in optical networks. Been described active components and the very principle of data transfer in the distribution network.

Antiapoptotic PON2 expression and its clinical implications in locally advanced oral squamous cell carcinoma. [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Sci
Role of PON2 in regulating diverse molecular pathways influenced by PON2 during cancer progression and metastasis. Abstract Locally advanced oral squamous cell carcinoma poses a significant challenge in oncology due to its rising incidence and mortality rates. Despite therapeutic progress, understanding molecular intricacies is essential.

The Concise Guide to PHARMACOLOGY 2023/24: Enzymes

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 180, Issue S2, Page S289-S373, October 2023., 2023
The Concise Guide to PHARMACOLOGY 2023/24 is the sixth in this series of biennial publications. The Concise Guide provides concise overviews, mostly in tabular format, of the key properties of approximately 1800 drug targets, and about 6000 interactions with about 3900 ligands.

MicroRNA signature and integrative omics analyses define prognostic clusters and key pathways driving prognosis in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 17, Issue 4, Page 582-597, April 2023., 2023
The comprehensive characterisation of microRNA (miRNA) profiles of neuroendocrine neoplasms has identified an eight‐miRNA signature able to stratify patients into three prognostic groups. Transcriptomic data have shown that these miRNAs are associated with genes involved in PI3K–Akt and TNFα–NF‐kB signalling.

Distinct non‐coding RNA cargo of extracellular vesicles from M1 and M2 human primary macrophages

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 11, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Macrophages are important antigen presenting cells which can release extracellular vesicles (EVs) carrying functional cargo including non‐coding RNAs. Macrophages can be broadly classified into M1 ‘classical’ and M2 ‘alternatively‐activated’ macrophages. M1 macrophages have been linked with inflammation‐associated pathologies, whereas a switch

Upgrading a Consumer Stereolithographic 3D Printer to Produce a Physiologically Relevant Model with Human Liver Cancer Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 10, 2022., 2022
This work shows that an affordable consumer stereolithography apparatus (SLA) printer can be straightforwardly modified for bioprinting and that the constructs obtained with the modified SLA printer show a high viability of patient‐derived cells. The bioprinted constructs mimic some key aspect of cholangiocarcinoma and are suitable for basic research ...
