2014 16th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2014 FABULOUS is an EU project pertaining to the 7th framework program with the aim of proving the effectiveness of a Passive Optical Network adopting WDM FDM/FDMA approach, able to grant increased bandwidth, flexibility and cost savings with respect to the recently approved NG-PON2 architecture.
