An FET-based microwave active circuit with dual-band negative group delay

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications
Recent studies proved that certain electronic active circuits are capable to exhibit simultaneously a negative group delay (NGD) and amplification in microwave frequency bands.

The Future of Hydrogen‐Powered Aviation: Technologies, Challenges, and a Strategic Roadmap for Sustainable Decarbonization

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Hydrogen‐powered aviation offers a transformative pathway to zero‐emission flight by eliminating in‐flight CO2 emissions. Key considerations include propulsion systems (fuel cells and hydrogen combustion), cryogenic storage and insulation challenges, infrastructure and cost barriers, and supply‐chain constraints.

Permutation-invariant codes encoding more than one qubit

open access: yes, 2016
A permutation-invariant code on m qubits is a subspace of the symmetric subspace of the m qubits. We derive permutation-invariant codes that can encode an increasing amount of quantum information while suppressing leading order spontaneous decay errors ...

Efficacy of gastric decompression after pancreatic surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesBMC Gastroenterology, 2020
Background Gastric decompression after pancreatic surgery has been a routine procedure for many years. However, this procedure has often been waived in non-pancreatic abdominal surgeries.

Optimisation of Temporary and Demountable Flood Protection for Infrastructure Resilience

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Infrastructure systems provide crucial services to human settlements. Extreme weather events, especially flooding, can disrupt these vital services. Temporary and demountable flood protections (TDFPs) are increasingly used to protect infrastructure assets and provide resilience.

A Novel Sprayable Fibrinogen/Glycosaminoglycans/Collagen‐Based Bioink for Skin Wound Healing Applied by a Handheld Dual‐Head Airbrush

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 5, 2 February 2026.
A dual‐head airbrush‐based spraying device, combined with a fibrinogen bioink enriched with glycosaminoglycans and collagen, enables the delivery of biomaterials and cells to promote wound healing. This system demonstrates effective skin regeneration in vitro and in vivo, with comparable results to autografts.

Modeling and simulation of neutron-gamma density logging: Impact of mudcake thickness and barite content on measurement accuracy

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
This study investigates the influence of mudcake thickness and barite weight fraction on Neutron-Gamma Density (NGD) logging measurements, applying both NGD-FC and NGD-TC methods to simulate the interactions of fast neutrons and gamma rays in a wellbore ...

Struggling to fit the white coat and the role of contextual factors within a hospital organisation - an ethnographic study on the first months as newly graduated doctors

open access: yesBMC Medical Education, 2021
Background Despite increased focus on improving the transition from being a medical student to working as a junior doctor, many newly graduated doctors (NGD) report the process of fitting the white coat as stressful, and burnout levels indicate that they
