Immersive virtual reality as a teaching tool in neuroanatomy: A scoping review

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract Basic core courses in various undergraduate programs, such as neuroanatomy, pose a challenge for students due to the large volume and complexity of the content. In this context, educational technologies such as immersive virtual reality (IVR), which allow students to actively interact with learning materials, offer a complementary pedagogical ...

Viruses and the cellular RNA decay machinery. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The ability to control cellular and viral gene expression, either globally or selectively, is central to a successful viral infection, and it is also crucial for the host to respond and eradicate pathogens.

Influence of Carboxylate Ligand Variation on Structure, Magnetic Exchange, and Magnetocaloric Performance in Hexanuclear Gd(III) Complexes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hexanuclear cyclic Gd(III) coordination compounds are promising candidates for magnetic and magnetocaloric applications, yet systematic series remain rare due to synthetic challenges. We report the synthesis and characterization of five new complexes with the general formula [Gd(H3bt)(carboxylate)]6, employing four different carboxylate ...

Design, characterization, and sensitivity of the supernova trigger system at Daya Bay

open access: yes, 2015
Providing an early warning of galactic supernova explosions from neutrino signals is important in studying supernova dynamics and neutrino physics. A dedicated supernova trigger system has been designed and installed in the data acquisition system at ...

Movement Disorders Associated with 22q11.2 Microdeletion: A Scoping Review

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Movement disorders have recently emerged as important neurologic manifestations of the 22q11.2 microdeletion that affects nearly one in every 2000 live births. Objective We aimed to map the existing evidence regarding the spectrum, diagnosis and treatment, and etiopathogenesis of movement disorders associated with 22q11.2 ...

Progression of Behavioral and CNS Deficits in a Viable Murine Model of Chronic Neuronopathic Gaucher Disease. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
To study the neuronal deficits in neuronopathic Gaucher Disease (nGD), the chronological behavioral profiles and the age of onset of brain abnormalities were characterized in a chronic nGD mouse model (9V/null).

Evaluation of physical, chemical, and color‐matching properties of monochromatic resin composites: An in vitro study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract The objectives of this study are to evaluate, in vitro, the microhardness, sorption, solubility, color stability, and color‐matching ability of monochromatic resin composites: Palfique Omnichroma / Tokuyama (Mono1) and Vittra APS Unique / FGM (Mono2) compared with the conventional resin composite: Filtek Z250 XT / Solventum (Conv).

Genetic dissection reveals distinct contributions of the eS31 N‐terminal domain to translational accuracy in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The eukaryote‐specific N‐terminal domain (NTD) of eS31 uses two distinct strategies to maintain translation fidelity. During elongation, a positively charged “hotspot” fine‐tunes the selection of incoming aa‐tRNA. During termination, the entire NTD acts as a structural scaffold to ensure the correct positioning of the release factor eRF1.

The Metallicity of Intergalactic Gas in Cosmic Voids

open access: yes, 2007
We have used the Hubble/STIS and FUSE archives of ultraviolet spectra of bright AGN to identify intergalactic Lya absorbers in nearby (z < 0.1) voids. From a parent sample of 651 Lya absorbers, we identified 61 void absorbers located more than 1.4/h_70

Unlocking Rapid and Durable Sodium‐Ion Storage in MXene via Organic Molecular Welding

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
We proposed an organic benzaldehyde grafting engineering for MXene‐based sodium‐ion batteries. It was synthesized by grafting benzaldehyde between MXene layers. Due to the chainlock effect of its organic molecules, the anode exhibits a large interlayer spacing, good oxidation resistance, favorable diffusion kinetics, and robust built‐in electric field,
