The Effect of Niacinamide on Cerebral Circulation

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1960
SummaryNiacinamide in large doses (3-5 g) administered intravenously increased significantly cerebral blood flow and cerebral oxygen consumption, but decreased mean arterial blood pressure and cerebral vascular resistance in dogs. This drug in small doses had no such effects.

A serum and cream moisturization regimen outperforms separate use in sustaining hydration, reducing TEWL, and balancing surface lipids over an 8‐h study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Over 8 h, using a Hyaluronic Acid Serum in combination with a Moisturizing Cream sustained skin hydration more than either product alone, while lowering TEWL and normalizing surface lipids. Volunteers also reported a more immediate and long‐lasting moisturization with the combined regimen. Created in BioRender. Maldonado Lopez, A.

Dietary L‐Tyrosine Sustains Egg Production and Quality by Modulating Promoter CpG Methylation, Gene Expression, and Hormone Profiles in Reproductive Signalling Pathways of Aged Laying Hens

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Managing prolactin (PRL)‐mediated reproductive suppression is critical for maintaining egg production in commercial laying hens. L‐tyrosine (TYR), a precursor of dopamine (DA), may counteract age‐related reproductive decline by suppressing PRL, thereby sustaining productivity and egg quality in late‐phase laying hens.
