ABSTRACT Background Secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2) is an inflammatory mediator linked to acute chest syndrome (ACS) in sickle cell disease (SCD), a serious complication that can develop during an acute vaso‐occlusive pain episode (VOE). Plasma sPLA2 levels have been proposed as a potential biomarker for predicting ACS onset.

Evaluación de activos porcinos en Ecuador: impacto pre y post Covid-19 bajo la NIC 41

Este estudio analiza la valoración de activos biológicos en la producción porcina en Ecuador y destaca la falta de formalidad en la administración y contabilidad. A pesar de la NIC 41, los métodos de valoración no están estandarizados. Se revela un mercado activo y, a la vez, se identifica una oportunidad para contadores profesionales.
