Stability of Almost Periodic Nicholson’s Blowflies Model Involving Patch Structure and Mortality Terms

Canadian mathematical bulletin, 2019
Taking into account the effects of patch structure and nonlinear density-dependent mortality terms, we explore a class of almost periodic Nicholson’s blowflies model in this paper.

Analysis of a nonautonomous Nicholson Blowfly model

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1999
Abstract Most dynamic models describing population evolution contain one or more parameters. The parameters are treated as fixed constants and qualitative results, such as stability of equilibria, are calculated using this assumption. In reality, however, the parameters are mathematically evaluated by statistical methods in which the error is ...

On μ-stability of a Nicholson’s blowflies model with unbounded time-varying delay

Applied Mathematics Letters, 2022
In this paper, the authors study the following Nicholson's blowflies model with an unbounded time-varying delay: \[ \dot{x}(t)=-ax(t)+bx(t-\tau(t))e^{-rx(t-\tau(t))} \] with the initial condition \(x(s)=\varphi(s)\) for \(s\in(-\infty,0]\), where \(\varphi\in C((-\infty,0],\mathbb{R}_{+})\) and \(\varphi> 0\). The main purpose of this paper is to study

Bifurcation analysis on a discrete model of Nicholson's blowflies

Journal of Difference Equations and Applications, 2008
In this paper, the discrete Nicholson's blowflies model with delay is considered. First, the stability of the equilibria of the system is investigated by analyzing the characteristic equation and then the existence of fold and Neimark–Sacker bifurcations are verified.

Stationary distribution and periodic solution of a stochastic Nicholson's blowflies model with distributed delay

Mathematical methods in the applied sciences, 2021
Due to the complex set of abiotic and biotic interaction variables in the ecosystems, the dynamics of animal populations are generally considered to be driven in astate‐dependent manner.

PERMANENCE FOR A DISCRETE NICHOLSON'S BLOWFLIES MODEL WITH FEEDBACK CONTROL AND DELAY

International Journal of Biomathematics, 2008
Sufficient conditions are established for the permanence in a delayed discrete Nicholson's blowflies model with feedback control. Our investigation confirms that the bounded feedback terms do not have any influence on the permanence of this system.

Oscillation and global attractivity in a discrete model of Nicholson's blowflies

Applicable Analysis, 1990
The delay difference equation is a discrete analogue of the delay differential equation which has been used in describing the dynamics of Nicholson's blowflies. See [1], [4] and [5]. We obtain sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all positive solutions of Eq. (1) about its positive equilibrium N*.
