RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation as a tool to investigate plant miRNA processing interference by regulatory proteins of diverse origin [PDF]
Background: Due to the nature of viral RNA genomes, RNA viruses depend on many RNA-binding proteins (RBP) of viral and host origin for replication, dissemination and evasion of host RNA degradation pathways.

This study shows that BLADE‐ON‐PETIOLE (BOP) proteins regulate floral abscission and senescence in tomato by interacting with TFAM1 to form transcriptional condensates controlling the ARABIDOPSIS THALIANA HOMEOBOX GENE 1 (ATH1)‐mediated abscission pathway.

Transient recombinant expression of highly immunogenic CagA, VacA and NapA in Nicotiana benthamiana
Interest in the plant-based transient production of recombinant immunogenic antigens has tremendously progressed because plants are cost-effective, easily selectable, free of mammalian contamination, and support complex post-translational modifications ...

A binary vector for transferring genomic libraries to plants [PDF]
The transformation of mutant plants with a complete recombinant library derived from wild-type DNA followed by assay of transformed plants for complementation of the mutant phenotype is a promising method for the isolation of plant genes.

In maize, the bHLH transcription factor ZmbHLH118 directly binds to the promoter of ZmCLCa and inhibits its expression. Tonoplast‐localized ZmCLCa mediates NO3− influx into the vacuole to regulate intracellular NO3− homeostasis, modulating nitrate uptake and metabolism, plant growth, and grain yield.

DNA methylation at tobacco telomeric sequences [PDF]
Majerová et al. (Plant Mol Biol, 2011) have recently reported that a considerable fraction of cytosines at tobacco telomeres is methylated. Although the data presented in this report indicate that tobacco telomeric sequences undergo certain levels of DNA

Natural Variation of NAR5 Determines Nitrogenase Activity and the Yield in Soybean
This study identified NAR5, a gene encoding a subtilisin‐like protease, that regulates nitrogenase activity in soybean nodules. Overexpressing NAR5 delayed nodule senescence, enhancing nitrogenase activity, yield, and low‐nitrogen tolerance. The elite haplotype NAR5HapI‐1 linked to superior nitrogenase activity and greater seed weight has been ...
