High atmospheric pressure (120 kPa) in deep underground counteracts humidity‐induced physiological stress in plants, stabilizing water balance and enhancing antioxidative defenses. This synergy boosts biomass despite elevated humidity, demonstrating sustainable deep underground agriculture potential under climate uncertainty.

This study improved an HPLC–UV method for quantifying 3‐O‐methylquercetin in porcine nasal mucosa following ICH M10 and ANVISA (Brazil) guidelines, assessing selectivity, linearity, accuracy, precision, and robustness. The method was applied for the first time to evaluate release, permeation, and retention profiles of a nasal formulation.

The analysis of BnTR1 enhances a variety of resistance in Nicotiana benthamiana
: Owing to the global climate change, frequent drought and salt stress have happened to most plants. As a result, it has become a hot issue in agricultural field to research in tolerance mechanisms of plants and to cultivate new plant materials that can ...

Evolution of repetitive DNA in angiosperms: examples from Nicotiana allopolyploids
PhDAllopolyploidy, interspecific hybridisation coupled with genome multiplication, is a prevailing force in the evolution of angiosperms. This thesis examines the consequences of allopolyploidy at the genomic level.

The roles of threonine deaminase in Nicotiana attenuata [PDF]
Threonine deaminase (TD), the first enzyme to convert threonine to α-keto butyrate (α-KB) in the isoleucine (Ile) biosynthetic pathway, is up-regulated after herbivore attack and methyl jasmonate (MeJA) elicitation, and constitutively expressed in floral

The fungal effector UvDUF1 from Ustilaginoidea virens not only promotes infection but also acts as a plant immunity elicitor, inducing broad‐spectrum disease resistance in rice and Nicotiana benthamiana. These results reveal its potential as a novel target for sustainable crop protection strategies.
