3‐Oxabicyclo[3.1.1]heptane as an Isostere of meta‐Benzene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
3‐Oxabicyclo[3.1.1]heptanes were designed as saturated isosteres of meta‐benzene. Crystallographic analysis revealed that these structures and meta‐benzene have identical geometric properties. Replacement of the central benzene ring in the anticancer drug Sonidegib with 3‐oxabicyclo[3.1.1]heptane provided a patent‐free analogue with a nanomolar potency,

closo‐Carboranylanaloga von β‐Arylethylaminen: Direkte Synthese aus Alkenen mittels EnT‐Katalyse

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Cooperativity of Electron Transfer Coupled Spin Transitions in a Tetranuclear Fe/Co Prussian Blue Analogue Revealed by Ultrafast Spectroscopy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Ultrafast pump‐probe spectroscopies show that irradiation of a square Fe/Co Prussian blue analogue induces electron transfer within one Fe–Co subunit followed by fast spin crossover, and coupled equilibria between all states trigger a second electron transfer coupled to spin crossover in the other Fe–Co subunit on a ns timescale.

Non‐Precious Metal Catalysts with Gradient Oxidative Dual Sites Boost Bimolecular Activation for Catalytic Oxidation Reactions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Engineering highly active dual sites enhances catalytic oxidation reactions by optimizing bimolecular activation. By immobilizing Cu2+ on NO3⁻‐grafted TiO2 and applying thermal treatment, Ti‐doped CuO is successfully synthesized on a TiO2 support. This catalyst, featuring gradient oxidative Cu─O─Ti/Cu─O─Cu dual sites, shows strong potential for low ...

Stable Mg2+ Dication Weakly Stabilized/Coordinated in Solution: Synthesis, Structure, Reactivity, and Use in Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Stable Mg2+ dication stabilized only by weakly coordinating carborates was first prepared and structurally characterized as a soluble salt in organic solvents. Combined experimental and theoretical data provided valuable insights into its behavior/reactivity in solution.
