In situ techniques reveal key insights into the electrochemical reduction of CO2 on Ni single atom catalysts. Through poisoning studies, we reveal that the reduction of the system does not result in a metal‐based reduction, rather it is associated with donation of electrons onto a combination of the support and the reactants.

Gem‐Diboronic Acids: A Motif for Anion Recognition in Competitive Media
Gem‐diboronic acids are an anion recognition motif that provides strong and directional binding to oxoanions in aqueous media. This motif provides a selectivity profile that is distinct from other anion recognition groups, and binding affinities that are superior to those of simple amides and (thio)ureas.

A survey on nitrite and nitrate levels in vegetables and cucurbits cultivated in northern and western plains of Kermanshah city in 2012 [PDF]
Given that the capacity of vegetables and cucurbits absorption and retention has large amounts of nitrite and nitrate. Therefore, the intake of these products can threaten human health.

Ultrathin rhodium–antimony alloy nanoflowers with unconventional 2H phase were controllably synthesized via a facile one‐pot method. Benefitting from the enhanced electronic interaction by p–d orbital coupling, the prepared catalyst delivered an efficient ammonia electrosynthesis capacity in neutral media.

Nitrite metabolism in the cyanobacterium Anabaena cycadeae: Regulation of nitrite uptake and nitrite reductase by ammonia [PDF]
Nitrogen regulation of nitrite uptake and nitrite reductase was studied in the cyanobacterium Anabaena cycadeae and its glutamine-auxotrophic mutant. The development of the nitrite-uptake system preceded, and was independent of, the development of nitrate reductase.
