Inorganic Nanomaterials Meet the Immune System: An Intricate Balance
Metal nanomaterials influence the immune responses, such as cytokine production and T‐cell activity. Unintended immune modulation can have significant consequences while its fine‐tuning may transform the oncology care. Within this review, a critical analysis is offered regarding the nano/immune‐interaction and suggests the future research directions to

Morphological analysis of ultra fine α-MnO2 nanowires under different reaction conditions [PDF]
A simple hydrothermal method was developed for the synthesis of ultra fine single-crystal {\alpha}-MnO2 nanowires by only using potassium permanganate and sodium nitrite in acidic solution, without any seed or template. Detailed analysis of the obtained nanowires was done using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and

Ammonium and nitrite oxidation at nanomolar oxygen concentrations in oxygen minimum zone waters
Significance As an essential nutrient, nitrogen plays a critical role in regulating oceanic primary productivity. Nitrogen is cycled between bioavailable and nonavailable forms through a network of aerobic and anaerobic microbial processes.

Imine Crosslinked, Injectable, and Self‐Healing Fucoidan Hydrogel with Immunomodulatory Properties
This study develops an injectable fucoidan‐based hydrogel with tunable properties for tissue engineering. By oxidizing fucoidan (OFu) to introduce aldehydes, imine crosslinks are formed with amine‐containing polymers, enabling self‐healing, injectability, and long‐term stability (≥28 days). The OFu‐gelatin hydrogel demonstrated biocompatibility, immune‐

Expanded metabolic versatility of ubiquitous nitrite-oxidizing bacteria from the genus Nitrospira
Significance Nitrification, the sequential aerobic oxidation of ammonia via nitrite to nitrate, is a key process of the biogeochemical nitrogen cycle and catalyzed by two aerobic microbial guilds (nitrifiers): ammonia oxidizers and nitrite-oxidizing ...

Antioxidant and antimicrobial effects of condiments paste used as nitrite replacer in chicken mince [PDF]
Aim: The present study was conducted to evaluate the antioxidant and antimicrobial effects of 4% Ginger + 4% Garlic + Turmeric 1000ppm (GGT), nitrite 200ppm (N) and the control (C) on minced chicken stored at 4±10C.

Light‐Activatable Hyaluronic Acid‐Derivatives Releasing Nitric Oxide and Their Delivery in the Skin
This work explores the development of photoactivatable hyaluronic acid (HA) derivatives functionalized with nitric oxide (NO) photodonors for light‐controlled therapeutic applications. The HA derivatives demonstrate enhanced keratinocyte proliferation and migration, effective NO release, and skin penetration when formulated as microemulsions.

Superstatistical approach to air pollution statistics [PDF]
Air pollution by Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) is a major concern in large cities as it has severe adverse health effects. However, the statistical properties of air pollutants are not fully understood. Here, we use methods borrowed from nonequilibrium statistical mechanics to construct suitable superstatistical models for air pollution statistics.
