Diazonium Salts in Visible Light Photocatalysis – a Focused Overview of their Application in Continuous Flow Synthesis

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, EarlyView.
The combination of continuous flow technology and visible light photocatalysis has been used to improve the safety and productivity of reactions with diazonium salts as reactive intermediates. This approach has proven to be a reliable method for various organic synthesis routes with diazonium salts under mild and well‐defined conditions.

CircUCK2 regulates HECTD1‐mediated endothelial‐mesenchymal transition inhibition by interacting with FUS and protects the blood–brain barrier in ischemic stroke

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, Volume 39, Issue 1, Page 40-51, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Ischemic stroke (IS) has become a cerebrovascular disease of widespread concern. Overexpression of circUCK2 alleviates neuronal damage in IS. However, the specific regulatory mechanisms of circUCK2 are not fully understood. In this study, we found that circUCK2 and HECT domain E3 ubiquitin ligase 1 (HECTD1) were downregulated in IS models in ...

Electrocatalytic Ammonia Oxidation Reaction: Selective Formation of Nitrite and Nitrate as Value‐Added Products

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
Ammonia (NH3) is an important hydrogen carrier with applications in energy and chemical production. This review highlights NH3 electrooxidation strategies, including fuel cells, wastewater treatment, and electrolyzers for nitrite (NO2−) and nitrate (NO3−) production as an alternative to the Ostwald process.

Electrocatalytic CN Coupling: Advances in Urea Synthesis and Opportunities for Alternative Products

open access: yesChemSusChem, EarlyView.
This review explores electrocatalytic urea synthesis via carbon–nitrogen (CN) coupling from CO2 and nitrogen species, specifically nitrate, nitrite, nitric oxide, and nitrogen gas. It discusses recent discoveries in catalyst design, reaction pathways, and detection methods. Future outlooks on industrial applications, alternative CN coupling products,
