Cofactor-free biocatalytic hydrogenation of nitro compounds for synthesis of amines

open access: yes
We report a new paradigm for chemoselective hydrogenation of nitro compounds to amines, under mild, aqueous conditions. Hydrogenase enzyme releases electrons from H2 to a carbon black support which facilitates nitro-group reduction. For 30 nitroarenes we

Discovery of CRBN‐based molecular glue degraders targeting WIZ transcription factor

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
This work reports the discovery of 9l, a novel cereblon‐based molecular glue degrader which targets the WIZ transcription factor. Compound 9l facilitates WIZ‐CRBN ternary complex formation to degrade WIZ, subsequently inducing γ‐globin expression in HUDEP‐2 cells and highlighting its potential as a sickle cell disease therapy.

Exploration of structure–activity relationship of 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine derivatives as hematopoietic progenitor kinase 1 inhibitors

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
Targeting HPK1 is a promising strategy to restore T‐cell anti‐tumor immunity. We report the design and synthesis of novel 2,4‐diaminopyrimidine derivatives, focusing on systematic structure–activity relationship (SAR) analysis These findings identify key structural features for potent HPK1 inhibition, facilitating the discovery of next‐generation ...

Homologous tumor‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme for synergistic NIR‐II photothermal and chemodynamic therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Studies reveal that a biomimetic nanoplatform based on a cancer cell membrane‐camouflaged Au‐MnOx nanozyme (Au‐MnOx@CCM) can achieve synergistic antitumor therapy by combining NIR‐II mediated PTT with enhanced CDT, offering a promising strategy for precise and efficient tumor therapy. Abstract The therapeutic potential of nanozyme‐mediated chemodynamic

Versatile Palladium‐Catalyzed C‐H Arylation of Fluoroarenes with 2‐Chloropyridine Derivatives

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Direct C─H arylation of fluoroarenes with 2‐chloropyridines is enabled by a simple Pd/SPhos system in isopropyl acetate. The method uses inexpensive reactants and shows broad scope and high yields. DFT computations explain reactivity and selectivity.

Piperidinodechlorination of chloro nitro naphthalenes. Further comparison between nitro-group and aza-group activation

open access: yes, 1971
The importance of specific solvation (H bonding) in the nucleophilic reactions of N-heteroaromatic substrates has been stressed in recent studies and was suggested to be a major differential feature between aza- and nitro-group activation, on the ...
