Low-temperature Plasma Assisted Thermochemical Treatments of AISI 420 Steel: Comparative Study of Obtained Layers [PDF]
Formation of metastable C–, N–, or even Formation of metastable C–, N–, or even C/N– expanded phases can be observed for typical non-equilibrium conditions attained at the plasma assisted thermochemical treatments when temperatures relatively low are ...

Micro-abrasion resistance of thermochemically treated steels in aqueous solutions: Mechanisms, maps, materials selection [PDF]
The area of micro-abrasion is an interesting and relatively recent area in tribo-testing methodologies, where small particles of less than 10 μm are employed between interacting surfaces.

Wear Properties of TiC‐Reinforced Co50 Composite Coatings from Room Temperature to High Temperature
In this paper, the laser cladding is created by using Co50 powder and TiC mixture, covering a H13 hot‐working steel substrate. The samples are analyzed by the hardness test, XRD, SEM, and friction test to identify the forming phases, microhardness distribution, and wear‐resistant characteristics.
