Synthesis of nitrogen heterocycles

2017
Part I: The first part of this thesis describes efforts towards the Lycopodium alkaloids lycopladine H and lycojaponicumin D and the chemistry developed in the course of these studies. We first pursued a divergent transannular Mannich reaction from a medium-size ring precursor.

Cyclometallated nitrogen heterocycles

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2003
The cyclometallation of four different classes of nitrogen heterocycle (pyridazine, tetrazines, pyrazines and pyrimidines) by palladium and platinum has been studied. Pyridazines readily form singly and doubly cyclometallated compounds, whilst pyrazines only metallate once.

Molecular electric properties of nitrogen heterocycles

Journal of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering, 2009
Solvent effects on molecular electric properties of several nitrogen heterocycles have been studied using quantum chemical calculations. Two reaction field models including Onsager model and polarizable continuum model have been employed to investigate the reaction field effects.

Radiation Chemistry of Nitrogen and Sulfur Heterocyclics

Radiation Research, 1973
The gamma radiolysis of nitrogen and sulfur heterocyclics having one or more nitrogen or sulfur atoms in five- and six-membered rings was studied. G values are given for the major gaseous products identified by gas chromatography for the radiolyses of pyrrole, pyrazole, imidazole, 1,2,4-triazole, tetrazole, pyrazine, pyrimidine, 1,3,5-triazine ...

Fixation of Atmospheric Nitrogen: Synthesis of Heterocycles with Atmospheric Nitrogen as the Nitrogen Source

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 1998
Dry air is the source of molecular nitrogen for reactions with TiL4 , Li, and TMSCl (L = Cl, OiPr; TMS = trimethylsilyl). The nitrogen-titanium complexes thus prepared can be used to synthesize indoles, pyrroles, and lactams from carbonyl compounds. Applying this method to 1 provides access to 2, the key compound in the synthesis of (±)-lycopodine.

Silicon‐Nitrogen Heterocycles

Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1966
AbstractGreat progress has recently been made in the chemistry of the silicon‐nitrogen bondC. Eaborn: Organosilicon Compounds. Butterworths, London 1960, p. 339. R. Fessenden and J. S.
