Reduction of 4-nitrophenol catalyzed by nitroreductase
Chinese Chemical Letters, 2007Abstract The reduction of 4-nitrophenol catalyzed by nitroreductase in the presence of NADH was investigated in this paper. 4-Amino-phenol and 4-hydroxylamino-phenol were found in the reductive products. The relationship between reaction time and the reductive ratio were studied.

Catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol by magnetically recoverable Au nanocatalyst
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2009A novel magnetically recoverable Au nanocatalyst was fabricated by the simple adsorption-reduction of Au(III) ions on chitosan-coated iron oxide magnetic nanocarrier. Au nanoparticles with a mean diameter of 3.14 nm were well loaded on the surface of magnetic nanocarrier because chitosan layer provided an effective driving force in the formation and ...

Pd nanoparticles anchored Co-MOF for nitrophenol reduction
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023Three nitrophenols are among the 126 priority toxic pollutants identified by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Catalyzing hydrogenation is a simple way to convert these toxic nitrophenols into harmless aminophenols. Commercial PdC has excellent catalytic hydrogenation activity but has weaknesses such as high price and low reusability.

Carbonylative Reduction of Nitrophenols to Aminophenols
Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 1995Two- or three-component catalysts composed of (i) sulfur or sulfur compound (H2S, CS2, COS, Na2S), (ii) basic additive (triethylamine, CH3ONa, Na2S), and usually (iii) vanadium(V) compounds (e.g. NH4VO3) were found to catalyze efficiently the reaction of CO + H2O with isomeric nitrophenols to give the corresponding aminophenols.

Reduction of nitrophenols in an electrocatalytic system
Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2009Results of research into hydrogenation of o- and p-nitrophenols in an electrocatalytic system on a cathode activated with d- and s-metal catalysts are presented. The optimal conditions for o-aminophenol formation on Raney nickel were identified by the probability-determined method for the experimental design.
