Pd nanoparticles anchored Co-MOF for nitrophenol reduction

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023
Three nitrophenols are among the 126 priority toxic pollutants identified by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Catalyzing hydrogenation is a simple way to convert these toxic nitrophenols into harmless aminophenols. Commercial PdC has excellent catalytic hydrogenation activity but has weaknesses such as high price and low reusability.

Carbonylative Reduction of Nitrophenols to Aminophenols

Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 1995
Two- or three-component catalysts composed of (i) sulfur or sulfur compound (H2S, CS2, COS, Na2S), (ii) basic additive (triethylamine, CH3ONa, Na2S), and usually (iii) vanadium(V) compounds (e.g. NH4VO3) were found to catalyze efficiently the reaction of CO + H2O with isomeric nitrophenols to give the corresponding aminophenols.

Micelle confined mechanistic pathway for 4-nitrophenol reduction

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2017
The model 4-nitrophenol reduction has been carried out by different groups in presence of metallic or even non-metallic catalyst elaborating different mechanistic aspects. In the present investigation, we have thoroughly studied the hydrogenation of 4-nitrophenol in a completely metal free homogeneous condition.

Carbon-Based Nanorod Catalysts for Nitrophenol Reduction

ACS Applied Nano Materials, 2019
Three-dimensional porous carbon-based materials from metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been proven useful in structural mechanical and catalytic applications due to the high specific surface area and excellent electron transport property. However, introducing and loading of metal catalytic sites on MOF-derived porous carbon-based materials always ...

Reduction of 4-nitrophenol catalyzed by nitroreductase

Chinese Chemical Letters, 2007
Abstract The reduction of 4-nitrophenol catalyzed by nitroreductase in the presence of NADH was investigated in this paper. 4-Amino-phenol and 4-hydroxylamino-phenol were found in the reductive products. The relationship between reaction time and the reductive ratio were studied.

Reduction of nitrophenols in an electrocatalytic system

Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2009
Results of research into hydrogenation of o- and p-nitrophenols in an electrocatalytic system on a cathode activated with d- and s-metal catalysts are presented. The optimal conditions for o-aminophenol formation on Raney nickel were identified by the probability-determined method for the experimental design.

4-Nitrophenol reduction and antibacterial activity of Ag-doped TiO2 photocatalysts

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023
Water contamination by organic pollutants is a serious environmental problem. 4-Nitrophenol (4-NP) is a potentially harmful chemical, which is commonly present in industrial effluents and can severely damage human health. Photocatalytic reduction of hazardous 4-NP by nano-sized materials to produce 4-aminophenol (4-AP), which is a commercially valuable
