Vacancy defect‐induced electron homing breaks phosphodiester bonds for RNA depletion‐driven cancer therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Illustration of 5% S‐vacancy Bi2S3 mediated phosphodiester bonds cleavage in RNA of hepatocellular carcinoma cells, which suppressing ERI3 expression, inhibiting cell proliferation and promoting apoptosis. Abstract Genome‐wide hypertranscription is a hallmark of malignant progression.

Method for determination of stable carbon isotope ratio of methylnitrophenols in atmospheric particulate matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A technique for the measurement of the stable isotope ratio of methylnitrophenols in atmospheric particulate matter is presented. Atmospheric samples from rural and suburban areas were collected for evaluation of the procedure.

Inclusion of seasonal variation in river system microbial communities and phototroph activity increases environmental relevance of laboratory chemical persistence tests [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Regulatory tests assess crop protection product environmental fate and toxicity before approval for commercial use. Although globally applied laboratory tests can assess biodegradation, they lack environmental complexity.

Water Soluble Iron aminoclay for Catalytic Reduction of Nitrophenol

open access: yesOriental Journal Of Chemistry, 2013
Water soluble iron decorated phyllosilicate is synthesized through one pot sol-gel synthesis by a wet chemical method using NaBH 4 as reducing agent. The as-synthesized nanocomposite is characterized by powder-XRD and TGA techniques. The morphology of the composite is obtained using HRSEM and HRTEM.

Oxophilicity‐Driven Potential Window Engineering Enables Scalable and Low‐Emission Paired Electrosynthesis on Asymmetric CuOx@Ag Platform

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, EarlyView.
An asymmetric CuOx@Ag electrocatalyst platform enables paired electrochemical valorization of glycerol and 4‐nitrophenol, while effectively decoupling both half‐reactions from OER and HER. Ag‐mediated surface engineering expands the potential window and boosts reaction selectivity, achieving > 90% Faradaic efficiencies at both electrodes.

Gold Nanoparticles–Dynamic Constitutional Frameworks as Adaptive Hybrid Conjugates for Enzyme Immobilization

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Dynamic constitutional frameworks (DCFs) and gold nanoparticles (AuNps) assemble into larger and well‐distributed conjugates providing an efficient platform for biosensing and biocatalytic applications. Dynamic constitutional frameworks (DCFs), connecting monomers via reversible covalent bonds, can initiate the assembly of gold nanoparticles (AuNps ...

Synthetic Cathepsin B Sensitive Adjuvant‐Peptide Conjugates to Target Intracellular Toll‐Like Receptors 7 and 8

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Cathepsin B‐sensitive peptide–adjuvant conjugates are designed, synthesized, and evaluated to deliver an antigenic peptid and an adjuvant targeting Toll‐like receptors 7 and 8 (TLR7/8) to antigen presenting cells. The adjuvant is released by cathepsin B resulting in antigen presentation and TLR mediated T cell activation.
