The Synthesis and Utility of Metal-Nitrosophenolato Compounds—Highlighting the Baudisch Reaction

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
The syntheses of the title compounds demonstrate a privileged introduction of a nitroso (and a hydroxyl via the Baudisch reaction) group to an aromatic ring.

Reaction mixtures formed by nitrite and selected sulfa-drugs showed mutagenicity in acidic medium

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2009
Nitrite, which is present in preserved meat and can be produced in the oral cavity by reduction of nitrate taken from vegetables, could react in stomach with nitrosatable drugs, giving genotoxic-carcinogenic N-nitroso compounds (NOC). The mutagenicity of

Malononitrile, a Synthetic Tool for New Chromophoric Systems

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1994
New near-IR-absorbing dyes were synthesized by condensation of the dicyanovinyl derivative of 1-acetyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydroindole with nitroso compounds. The resulting products were found to be mixtures (ca. 9:1) of the (E)- and (Z)-isomers.

Synthesis and Spectroscopic Study of New 1H-1-Alkyl-6-methyl-7-nitroso-3-phenylpyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazoles

open access: yesMolbank
The nitrosation of 1H-1-alkyl-6-methyl-3-phenylpyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazoles leads to new 1H-1-alkyl-6-methyl-7-nitroso-3-phenylpyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4] triazoles that react in acidic media, giving rise to 1H-1-alkyl-7-hydroxyimino-6-methyl-3 ...
