LEO-PNT Feasibility Aspects: Satellite Navigation Payload Size, Weight, and Power Analysis

open access: yesIEEE Access
Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites are expected to improve the robustness and reliability of critical Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services by increasing both the efficiency and diversity of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). However,

Integrable inhomogeneous NLS equations are equivalent to the standard NLS

open access: yes, 2008
A class of inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLS), claiming to be novel integrable systems with rich properties continues appearing in PhysRev and PRL. All such equations are shown to be not new but equivalent to the standard NLS, which trivially explains their integrability features.

NLS of SA1 identified in yeast is the same in HeLa cells but SA2 is targeted to the nucleus of HeLa by C-terminally localized NLS.

open access: yes, 2012
(A) Schematic representation of HeLa cells expressing SA1-GFP and SA2-GFP and their deletion mutants. Arrows indicate localization of NLS discussed in the text. Grey color indicates GFP fluorescence.

Epidemiological distribution of MRI‐based presumptive imaging diagnoses in a large general population of cats with suspected epileptic seizures

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The reported prevalence of feline idiopathic epilepsy (IE) and presumptive imaging diagnoses based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) varies depending on factors such as differences between primary care versus referral study populations.

Thermal Degradation and Thermal Decomposition of Plasticized PVC Including POSS Additives for PVC Compounds: Mechanisms, Impact, and Performance of Standards

open access: yesJournal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, EarlyView.
Additives' structures. ABSTRACT Poly(vinyl chloride) has been a key polymeric material since its commercial production in 1931, demonstrating versatility across numerous industries due to its compatibility with various additives. PVC's inherent properties, flame retardance, durability, and recyclability make it ideal for building and construction ...

Global well-posedness of NLS-KdV systems for periodic functions

open access: yes, 2007
We prove that the Cauchy problem of the Schrödinger-Korteweg-deVries (NLS-KdV) system for periodic functions is globally well-posed for initial data in the energy space H1 x H1.

Quasi-rational solutions of the NLS equation and rogue waves

open access: yes, 2010
We degenerate solutions of the NLS equation from the general formulation in terms of theta functions to get quasi-rational solutions of NLS equations. For this we establish a link between Fredholm determinants and Wronskians. We give solutions of the NLS

Resource Availability and Habitat Quality Drive Time‐Lag Effects in High‐Altitude Ungulate Distribution

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
Our analysis revealed that while climate strongly influenced species distributions, habitat change drove most observed delays in distribution responses. In terms of community ecology, dispersed communities exhibited shorter time lags than concentrated groups. Analyses of lag duration revealed a 5–6‐year distribution lag effect in high‐altitude ungulate
