Experimental implementation of local adiabatic evolution algorithms by an NMR quantum information processor

open access: yes, 2005
Quantum adiabatic algorithm is a method of solving computational problems by evolving the ground state of a slowly varying Hamiltonian. The technique uses evolution of the ground state of a slowly varying Hamiltonian to reach the required output state ...

Discovery, Herbicidal Activity and Biosynthesis of a Novel Natural Tetramic Acid from Alternaria Species

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The biosynthetic mechanism of novel natural tetramic acid S‐TeA in Alternaria alternata is elucidated. Threonine acts as a precursor for 2‐amino‐3‐methylhexanoic acid (AMHA) synthesis via eight key enzymes from the branched‐chain amino acid biosynthetic pathway in the mitochondrion, wherein three unique enzymes (IPMS, IPMDH, and ISMD) play critical ...

Implementation of a quantum algorithm to solve Bernstein-Vazirani's parity problem without entanglement on an ensemble quantum computer

open access: yes, 2000
Bernstein and Varizani have given the first quantum algorithm to solve parity problem in which a strong violation of the classical imformation theoritic bound comes about.

Carotenoids are the likely precursor of a significant fraction of marine dissolved organic matter. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The ocean's biota sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) in part by producing dissolved organic matter (DOM) that persists in the ocean for millennia.

Microneedle Patch for In Situ Neutrophil Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An in situ chromogenic microneedle patch that achieves daily blood neutrophil monitoring without vascular invasion or laboratory apparatus is developed. The detection ability is well demonstrated in a chemotherapy‐induced neutropenic rat model and can be read out using a mobile phone application.

Non-hydrophilic components from roots of Vietnamese ginseng (Panax vietnamensis Ha & Grushv.)

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học Đại học Huế: Khoa học Tự nhiên
Vietnamese ginseng is a precious medicinal herb and contains various ginsenosides as the main components. We studied the less polar constituents of the title ginseng and isolated falcarinol (1) and 20S-protopanaxatriol (4) for the first time, along with

Parahydrogen enhanced zero-field nuclear magnetic resonance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), conventionally detected in multi-tesla magnetic fields, is a powerful analytical tool for the determination of molecular identity, structure, and function. With the advent of prepolarization methods and alternative detection schemes using atomic magnetometers or superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs ...

Responsive ROS‐Augmented Prodrug Hybridization Nanoassemblies for Multidimensionally Synergitic Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Cascade Assaults

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes a novel HCC therapy using CA‐4S2@ES‐Cu nanomedicines to amplify cuproptosis, enhancing chemotherapy and immunotherapy. CA‐4 and ES‐Cu synergistically inhibit tumor growth, induce immune responses, and reverse the immunosuppressive microenvironment, offering an effective multidimensional therapeutic strategy for HCC treatment ...

Development of an Automated Workflow for Screening the Assembly and Host–Guest Behavior of Metal‐Organic Cages Towards Accelerated Discovery

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An automated experimental workflow to accelerate the discovery of metal‐organic cages (MOCs), which is often hindered by slow, manual approaches, has been developed. Automation of the synthesis, characterization, and analysis, is supported by computational modelling to rationalize the experimental outcomes, and development of a host–guest assay ...

RD-NMR spectra of the crystal states of the two-dimensional electron gas in a quantizing magnetic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Transport experiments on the two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) confined into a semiconductor quantum well and subjected to a quantizing magnetic field have uncovered a rich variety of uniform and nonuniform phases such as the Laughlin liquids, the Wigner, bubble and Skyrme crystals and the quantum Hall stripe state.
