Conservation agriculture for increasing productivity, profitability and water productivity in rice-wheat system of the Eastern Gangetic Plain

open access: yesEnvironmental Challenges, 2022
There are increasing concerns about the negative effects of conventional tillage (CT), extreme climate events, increased weed incidence, and reduced availability of farm inputs on crop yield and yield stability, profitability, and water productivity in ...

East Antarctic Ice Sheet variability during the middle Miocene Climate Transition captured in drill cores from the Friis Hills, Transantarctic Mountains

open access: yesGSA Bulletin, 2022
This study describes 16 well-dated, terrestrial glacial sedimentary cycles deposited during astronomically paced climate cycles from the termination of the Miocene Climatic Optimum (MCO) through the middle Miocene Climate Transition (MMCT) (15.1−13.8 Ma)

Intravital Multimodal Imaging of Human Cortical Organoid Transplantation in a Mouse Model of Chronic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal intravital imaging platform enables longitudinal tracking of human cortical organoids transplanted into chronic stroke lesions. By combining surgical microscopy, MRI, bioluminescence imaging, and two‐photon fluorescence microscopy, the platform captures graft placement, viability dynamics, and cellular‐scale morphology in vivo, offering a ...

Isomeric Ag14 Nanoclusters With Distinct Photophysical and Nanomechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ligand‐shell isomerism in atomically precise Ag14 nanoclusters is demonstrated to regulate core distortion, photoluminescence, and mechanical properties. Subtle changes in phosphine ligand arrangement drive a pronounced emission shift from green to red and alter crystal rigidity, revealing a direct structure‐property correlation that offers new design ...

Small‐Scale Magnetic Peristaltic Soft Robot With Mobility and Transport Capabilities

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a miniature, untethered soft magnetic microrobot with peristaltic capabilities for both locomotion and cargo transport. Eight helically magnetized elastomeric strips deform under rotating fields (10–80 mT, 1–5 Hz), enabling movement across rods and lumina at up to 4.1 body lengths min‐¹.

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Waste Polystyrene Over Fe–B Composite Catalyst for Enhanced Liquid Fuel Production

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Healthcare derived polystyrene waste represents a growing and under addressed fraction of plastic waste streams due to contamination risks and limited recyclability. This study aims to investigate the valorization of waste polystyrene foam through catalytic and noncatalytic pyrolysis pathways to evaluate product yield distribution and identify
