No-till Drill Utilizing Adjustable Seed Furrow Openers

A no-till drill using a pneumatic downpressure system and single-disc seed furrow openers mounted on vertical shanks has been designed and tested. Down pressure to the openers is held nearly constant over the 20.3-cm (8-in.) vertical opener travel. The drill was field tested and performed satisfactorily in no-till seeding of soybeans.
