Concurrent Nocardia, Cryptococcus and Mycobacterium Infections Unmask Anti–GM‐CSF Antibody–Associated Immunodeficiency and Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Infectious Diseases, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Anti‐granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor (anti‐GM‐CSF) antibodies, classically associated with pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP), are increasingly recognised as a cause of adult‐onset immunodeficiency predisposing to opportunistic infections. Coinfections with multiple opportunistic pathogens in this context are uncommon.

An Unusual Case of Cutaneous Nocardia cyriacigeorgica Infection Assuming the Appearance of Shingles

open access: yesCase Reports in Infectious Diseases, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Nocardia is an opportunistic organism that commonly infects the lungs of the immunocompromised and can cause disseminated infections. Diagnosis of Nocardia cyriacigeorgica is through culture and susceptibilities, aided by 16S rRNA sequencing. We report a case of a shingles‐like rash eruption due to Nocardia cyriacigeorgica in a 69‐year‐old patient with

Dimorphic fungal infection presenting as dysphagia in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 4, December 2025.

Scalp Actinomycosis Presenting as Chronic Discharging Sinuses: A Rare Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Actinomycosis is a rare, chronic granulomatous infection caused by anaerobic, filamentous bacteria of the genus Actinomyces, typically involving the cervicofacial, thoracic, or abdominopelvic regions. Scalp involvement is exceptionally rare and frequently misdiagnosed as a neoplastic or tubercular condition. We report the case of a 47‐year‐old
