Role of apparent diffusion coefficient in assessment of loco-regional nodal spread in cancer rectum: correlative study with histopathological findings

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, 2023
Background Rectal cancer is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. Preoperative assessment and detection of nodal metastasis are crucial for selecting a proper treatment plan.

Theory of the strongly disordered Weyl semimetal

open access: yes, 2015
In disordered Weyl semimetals, mechanisms of topological origin lead to novel mechanisms of transport, which manifest themselves in unconventional types of electromagnetic response. Prominent examples of transport phenomena particular to the Weyl context

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

Numerical Study of Universal Conductance Fluctuation in Three-dimensional Topological Semimetals

open access: yes, 2017
We study the conductance fluctuation in topological semimetals. Through statistic distribution of energy levels of topological semimetals, we determine the dominant parameters of universal conductance fluctuation (UCF), i.e., the number of uncorrelated ...

Delivery of Pleckstrin‐Homology Domains Suppresses PI3K/Akt Signaling and Breast Cancer Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current therapies curb tumor growth but not metastasis. Obscurin, a giant metastasis suppressor lost in breast cancer, restrains PI3K/Akt signaling but is impractical to restore. We deploy a mini‐obscurin, comprising the obscurin‐PH‐domain, which sequesters PI3K‐p85, potently suppressing invasion and metastasis.

SPECTRAL PROPERTIES AND INVERSE NODAL PROBLEMS FOR SINGULAR DIFFUSION EQUATION

open access: yesHacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics
In this study, some properties for the pencils of singular Sturm-Liouville operators are investigated. Firstly, the behaviors of eigenvalues were learned, then the solutions of the inverse problem were given to determine the potential function and parameters of the boundary condition with the help of a dense set of nodal points and lastly we obtain a ...

Tumor‐Derived Exosomes Deliver Membrane‐Bound Fgl2 to Activate FcγRIIB‐Mediated Immunosuppression in Myeloid‐Derived Suppressor Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the Fgl2‐FcγRIIB signaling axis is a key mechanism by which MDSCs mediate tumor immune evasion. Tumor‐derived exosomes systemically activate MDSCs via this pathway, positioning this axis as a promising broad‐spectrum target for cancer immunotherapy.
