Influence-Based Community Partition with DegreeRank Label Propagation (DRLP) Algorithm for Social Networks

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Community detection is increasingly important in social networks with the rapid growth of big data, which provides a deep understanding of the mesoscopic structure of social networks.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Unraveling the Impacts of River Network Connectivity on Ecological Quality Dynamics at a Basin Scale

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The ecological quality of river basins is significantly influenced by the complex network of river structures and their connectivity. This study measured the temporal and spatial variability of ecological quality, as reflected by remote sensing ...

Identifying Node Importance in a Complex Network Based on Node Bridging Feature

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Identifying node importance in complex networks is of great significance to improve the network damage resistance and robustness. In the era of big data, the size of the network is huge and the network structure tends to change dynamically over time. Due

Monitoring of circulating tumor DNA allows early detection of disease relapse in patients with operable breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Node Importance Ranking of Complex Networks with Entropy Variation

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
The heterogeneous nature of a complex network determines the roles of each node in the network that are quite different. Mechanisms of complex networks such as spreading dynamics, cascading reactions, and network synchronization are highly affected by a ...

The Structure Entropy-Based Node Importance Ranking Method for Graph Data

open access: yesEntropy, 2023
Due to its wide application across many disciplines, how to make an efficient ranking for nodes in graph data has become an urgent topic. It is well-known that most classical methods only consider the local structure information of nodes, but ignore the ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Study on node importance evaluation of the high-speed passenger traffic complex network based on the Structural Hole Theory

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2017
Complex Network Theory can analyze the reliability of high-speed passenger traffic networks and also evaluate node importance. This paper conducts a systematic and in-depth research of importance of various nodes in the high-speed passenger traffic ...

Efficient Algorithm for the Identification of Node Significance in Complex Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Identifying vital nodes is a significant issue for the study of network robustness, epidemic controlling and targeted destruction of networks. Previous studies on weak ties theory recovered that ties with weak strength usually act as the important ...
