The Experimental Validation of a Digital Filter Mathematical Modelling for Nuclear Fuel Vibration Monitoring System

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2022
Aiming at vehicles will produce shocks and vibrations for various reasons in the process of transportation and handling, any shock and vibration that exceeds the regulations would cause damage to the nuclear fuel being transported.

Decoherence of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs in a noisy Andreev entangler

open access: yes, 2005
We investigate quantum noise effect on the transportation of nonlocal Cooper pairs accross the realistic Andreev entangler which consists of an s-wave superconductor coupled to two small quantum dots at resonance which themselves are coupled to normal ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Experimental research on vibration and noise of rail conveyor

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
Rail Conveyor is a highly energy-efficient and cost-effective bulk material transportation system, which merges the benefits of both belt conveyor technology and railway. Reducing vibration and noise is a key problem in the design of rail conveyor system,

Noise-induced transport at zero temperature [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1998
We consider a particle in the over-damped regime at zero temperature under the influence of a sawtooth potential and of a noisy force, which is correlated in time. A current occurs, even if the mean of the noisy force vanishes. We calculate the stationary probability distribution and the stationary current.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Association between transportation noise and cardiovascular disease: A meta-analysis of cross-sectional studies among adult populations from 1980 to 2010

open access: yesIndian Journal of Public Health, 2014
Background: It is hypothesized that exposure to transportation noise is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease among adult population. The present study further explores this association in the light of new findings. The objective of

Sonic Justice and Tree Equity: Exploring Spatial Correlations between Aviation-Related Noise, Demographics, and Tree Canopy

open access: yesGeoplanning: Journal of Geomatics and Planning, 2023
The intricate relationship between aviation-related noise pollution, demographic factors, and tree canopy cover can hold significant implications for targeted interventions promoting environmental equity, sonic justice, and sustainable urban development.

Review of measured vibration and noise environments experienced by passengers in aircraft and in ground transportation systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
Measured vibration and interior noise data are presented for a number of air and surface vehicles. Consideration is given to the importance of direction effects; of vehicle operations such as take-off, cruise, and landing; and of measurement location on ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
