Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)
Current Treatment Options in Gastroenterology, 1999Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is an increasingly common cause of persistently abnormal liver tests. Mechanisms of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis
Alcohol, 2004In 1980, the term non-alcoholic steatohepatitis was coined to describe a new syndrome occurring in patients who usually were obese (often diabetic) females who had a liver biopsy picture consistent with alcoholic hepatitis, but who denied alcohol use. The causes of this syndrome were unknown, and there was no defined therapy.
