Catheter Injectable Multifunctional Biomaterial for the Treatment of Infected Enterocutaneous Fistulas

A multi‐functional shear‐thinning hydrogel is engineered to treat enterocutaneous fistulas. This hydrogel can resist external pressures allowing it to remain within the fistula tract and is shown to have significant antimicrobial, pro‐healing, and anti‐inflammatory properties, which were validated in in vitro and in vivo experiments.

The cytochrome P450 enzyme AbyV catalyses a key epoxidation in the final stages of the biosynthesis of the spirotetronate antibiotic abyssomicin C. Dimethyl Itaconate Alleviates Escherichia coli‐Induced Endometritis Through the Guanosine‐CXCL14 Axis via Increasing the Abundance of norank_f_Muribaculaceae

The research findings indicate that dimethyl itaconate (DI) alleviates Escherichia coli (E. coli) induced endometritis by modulating the gut microbiota and enriching the abundance of norank_f_Muribaculaceae, thereby increasing the production of guanosine.
