Non-contact ultrasonic techniques
Ultrasonics, 2004Non-contact generation and detection of acoustic and ultrasound waveforms is of practical importance, since it permits making acoustic and ultrasonic measurements at elevated temperatures, in corrosive and other hostile environments, in geometrically difficult to reach locations, in outer space and doing this at relatively large distances from the test

Non-contact ECG Monitoring for Driver
2020 30th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), 2020This work describes system for electrocardiographic (ECG) signal scanning with non-contact electrodes and wireless data transmission. Introductory part deals about electrocardiography and generally with analog signal processing especially with active capacitance electrodes. In the next part of this work the ECG measuring system is designed.

Our understanding of friction and mechanism of energy dissipation has undoubtedly experienced a tremendous profit after the introduction of scanning probe microscopy. Nowadays the tribological response of a sliding asperity can be easily traced down to the atomic scale.

A Non-Contact Vital Signs Monitor
Critical Reviews in Biomedical Engineering, 2000The expansion and contraction of the lungs and heart result in movement of the chest wall that can be detected and monitored to determine respiration and heart rate. A prototype non-contact Vital Signs Monitor (VSM) has been developed which uses very low power, high frequency Doppler radar to detect these motions.

Non-Contact Type Pulse Oximeter
Critical Reviews in Biomedical Engineering, 2019Heart rate and through-body blood perfusion are vital measurements in all stages of patient care, be it predictive, in the clinical setting, or outpatient monitoring. Irregular, underachieving, or overperforming heart rate is the main precursor of most cardiovascular diseases that have severe long-term complications.

Navigated non-contact fluorescence tomography
Physics in Medicine & Biology, 2019A non-contact approach for diffuse optical tomography (DOT) has been developed for on-demand image updates using surgical navigation technology. A stereoscopic optical tracker provides real-time localization of reflective spheres mounted to a laser diode and near-infrared camera.

Magnetic Non-Contact Harmonic Drive
Volume 1: Advances in Aerodynamics, 2013The MAGDRIVE project, granted by the Space program of the EU-FP7, is developing a gear able to produce reduction ratios from 1 to several hundreds by means of magnetic teeth. The teeth, unlike the conventional gears, do not touch one to other. This makes that this gear does not need any kind of lubrication.

Non-contact ECG signal processing
2012 6th IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS, 2012Today are used electrocardiograms with sensors, which require a wild-sprays to ensure electrical contact between sensor and skin. Such devices are for set to time-consuming and problematic for long term record. The lack of principle eliminates the use of non-contact sensing.
