Theory Assessment and Final Theory Claim in String Theory [PDF]
String theory has by now maintained a highly influential position in high energy physics for more than a quarter of a century. The present article analyses the reasons for the considerable trust exponents of string theory have in their theory even though

Topological strings on singular elliptic Calabi-Yau 3-folds and minimal 6d SCFTs
We apply the modular approach to computing the topological string partition function on non-compact elliptically fibered Calabi-Yau 3-folds with higher Kodaira singularities in the fiber.

Quantization of Non-Critical Bosonic Open String Theory
The theory of relativistic strings is considered in frames of Hamiltonian formalism and Dirac's quantization procedure. A special gauge fixing condition is formulated, related with the world sheet of the string in Lorentz-invariant way. As a result, a new set of Lorentz-invariant canonical variables is constructed, in which a consistent quantization of

This review maps the methods to monitor robots’ health by fusing vibration, sound, control signals, vision, force, and oil information with artificial intelligence. It identifies deep learning, transfer learning, digital twins, and physics‐informed models as key methodological pathways enabling earlier diagnosis, safer human–robot collaboration, and ...

Non-Abelian discrete gauge symmetries in F-theory [PDF]
The presence of non-Abelian discrete gauge symmetries in four-dimensional F-theory compactifications is investigated. Such symmetries are shown to arise from seven-brane configurations in genuine F-theory settings without a weak string coupling ...

Emergent strings from quantum field theory
We develop a procedure that reorganizes the perturbative expansion in a class of quantum field theories into a stringy amplitude expressed as a sum over two-dimensional geometries. Using Schwinger parametrization and the one-to-one correspondence between

Residual symmetries in c=1 non-critical string theory
Abstract It is shown that the theories of one and two scalar fields coupled to two-dimensional quantum gravity are invariant under a pair of conjugate, Grassmann odd symmetries regardless of the details of the quantum measures. In the c=1 case it is found that these symmetries are hidden in the physical spectrum.

Deep Contrastive Learning for High‐Throughput Prediction of Drug Resistance Mutations from Sequences
This study presents DeepMutDTA, a deep learning framework aimed at predicting mutation‐induced changes in protein‐drug interactions and prioritizing variants potentially linked to drug resistance. Trained on large‐scale data, it incorporates SimSiam‐MuTF, a label‐aware contrastive fine‐tuning strategy that encourages separation between WT and MT ...

Matrix quantum mechanics on S1/Z2
We study Matrix Quantum Mechanics on the Euclidean time orbifold S1/Z2. Upon Wick rotation to Lorentzian time and taking the double-scaling limit this theory provides a toy model for a big-bang/big crunch universe in two dimensional non-critical string ...

Machine Learning for Green Solvents: Assessment, Selection and Substitution
Environmental regulations have intensified demand for green solvents, but discovery is limited by Solvent Selection Guides (SSGs) that quantify solvent sustainability. Training a machine learning model on GlaxoSmithKline SSG, a database of sustainability metrics for 10,189 solvents, GreenSolventDB is developed. Integrated with Hansen solubility metrics,
