Non-equilibrium quantum field theory and perturbation theory
Nuclear Physics A, 1995Abstract The perturbation theory is studied for a non-equilibrium situation of an interacting fermion-boson system. The structure of the Green function expansion is represented in the Keldysh-Schwinger formalism. A non-equilibrium Wick theorem is derived by expressing the expectation values of normal-ordered products, which do not vanish in non ...

Mean field theory for non-equilibrium quantum fields
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1989Abstract An approximation technique is provided for studying the time development out of equilibrium of thermal quantum fields, when they experience isoentropic but energy-non-conserving evolution. We implement approximately a variational principle that yields the Liouville-von Neumann equation when implemented exactly.

$^{4}$ non equilibrium dynamics and kinetic field theory
1995Off-shellness and inhomogeneities are in the non-equilibrium dynamics of the lambda phi^4 model are studied using the closed timepath formalism reformulated as kinetic field theory. We take into account initial correlations up to the 4-point functions. The model is shown to exhibit a SO(1,1) symmetry broken by interactions and initial conditions.
