This paper is devoted to the demonstration of fundamental differences between the Fourier and non-Fourier heat transfer mechanisms in nanoscale silicon structures. The conducting-radiating medium is radiatively absorbing, emitting, and scattering. The non-Fourier effect is analyzed by suddenly perturbing the temperatures of the concentric cylinders.
