The nature of the relationship between leverage and firm performance has been a subject of investigation in extant literature. We re-examine the nature of the association by using a sample of 78 non-financial firms listed in the Nifty 100 index during ...

Operational limits of a non-homogeneous dielectric elastomer transducer
Operation of a dielectric elastomer (DE) transducer is limited by the way it fails, and any other limits imposed by the user. For example, material rupture and dielectric breakdown are two examples of transducer failure, while tension loss is a user ...

Application of quasi-homogeneous anisotropic laminates in grid-stiffened panel design [PDF]
Composite laminates are derived for standard configurations with quasi-homogeneous anisotropic properties, whereby in-plane and out-of-plane stiffness properties are concomitant.

Moments of exit times from wedges for non-homogeneous random walks with asymptotically zero drifts
We study quantitative asymptotics of planar random walks that are spatially non-homogeneous but whose mean drifts have some regularity. Specifically, we study the first exit time $\tau_\alpha$ from a wedge with apex at the origin and interior half-angle $

Non-linear anti-symmetric shear motion: a comparative study of non-homogeneous and homogeneous plates [PDF]
In this article, the non-linear anti-symmetric shear motion for some comparative studies between the non-homogeneous and homogeneous plates, having two free surfaces with stress-free, is considered.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
