EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

REGIONAL NON-UNIFORM SOCIAL & ECONOMIC SYSTEM MANAGEMENT MODERNIZATION

open access: yesМодернизация, инновация, развитие, 2016
Characteristic for contemporary regional social/economic systems are various combinations of homogeneous and non-homogeneous components. An example of such a system (Ryazan Oblast, Russian Federation) is comprehensively described.

Using Bayesian approach to study robustness of classes of priors for homogeneous and non homogeneous Poison processes

open access: yesالمجلة الدولية للأداء الاقتصادي, 2021
A Non-Homogeneous process is a process with rate parameter (t) such that this rate is a function of time. Bayesians are interested in robustness with respect to changes in prior distributions/sampling models/loss functions.

On the Convergence of Bounded Solutions of Non Homogeneous Gradient-like Systems

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Engineering and Computation, 2017
We study the long time behavior of the bounded solutions of non homogeneous gradient-like system which admits a strict Lyapunov function. More precisely, we show that any bounded solution of the gradient-like system converges to an accumulation point as ...

Non-homogeneous random walks with non-integrable increments and heavy-tailed random walks on strips

open access: yes, 2012
We study asymptotic properties of spatially non-homogeneous random walks with non-integrable increments, including transience, almost-sure bounds, and existence and non existence of moments for first-passage and last-exit times.

Quantum Product and Parabolic Orbits in Homogeneous Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Chaput, Manivel, and Perrin proved in [3] a formula describing the quantum product by Schubert classes associated to cominuscule weights in a rational projective homogeneous space X. In the case where X has Picard rank one, we relate this formula to the

“Homogenization with non‐homogeneous plastic flow”

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, 2023
AbstractThis paper provides the solution of a homogenization model that simultaneously considers the plastic and elastic strain fields in a single analytical formulation. In addition, the authors aim to decouple plastic flows triggered in the inclusions, in the matrix at the interfaces with the inclusions, and in the matrix at a large distance from the

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...
