Dynamics of the Non-Homogeneous Supermarket Model [PDF]
We consider the long term behavior of a Markov chain ξ(t) on ℤ N based on the N station supermarket model with general neighborhoods, arrival rates and service rates. Different routing policies for the model give different Markov chains. We show that for a broad class of local routing policies, join the least weighted queue (JLW), the N one-dimensional

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

“Homogenization with non‐homogeneous plastic flow”
AbstractThis paper provides the solution of a homogenization model that simultaneously considers the plastic and elastic strain fields in a single analytical formulation. In addition, the authors aim to decouple plastic flows triggered in the inclusions, in the matrix at the interfaces with the inclusions, and in the matrix at a large distance from the

Remember the past: A comparison of time-adaptive training schemes for non-homogeneous regression
Non-homogeneous regression is a frequently-used post-processing method for increasing the predictive skill of probabilistic ensemble weather forecasts.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Optimal solutions for homogeneous and non-homogeneous equations arising in physics
In this study, we present a new modified convergent analytical algorithm for the solution of nonlinear boundary value problems by the Variation of Parameters Method (VPM).

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
