Cuproptosis Inducers in Cancer Therapy: State of the Art and Challenges

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
Cuproptosis is emerging as a distinct copper‐dependent cell death pathway, highlighting copper as a potential metabolic vulnerability in cancer. This review examines how coordination chemistry, redox regulation, and nanomaterial design shape Cu reactivity and therapeutic outcomes.

Data-driven MPC for Secondary Voltage Control

open access: yes
LAUREA MAGISTRALEL'integrazione crescente delle fonti rinnovabili nella rete elettrica introduce nuove sfide per la regolazione della tensione, a causa della loro natura intermittente e della ridotta inerzia rispetto ai sistemi tradizionali.

It started off as a Cys, how did it end up like this? Identifying the extent of unmodelled oxidatively modified cysteines within the Protein Data Bank

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section D, EarlyView.
This work examines data contained within 118 215 structures in the Protein Data Bank for unmodelled difference density concomitant with unmodelled oxidatively damaged cysteines. This analysis demonstrates that site‐specific oxidation of residues is a phenomenon of which the experimenter should be aware, and highlights the need for a suitable detection ...

Model predictive control (MPC) with integral action; Reducing the control horizon and model free MPC

open access: yes, 2015
Model Predictive Control (MPC) is the most widely used strategy in process industries due to remarkable features. It has the capability to control the non-minimum phase, unstable processes and handle the constraints in a systematic way.

Asymmetric niche partitioning in large omnivores in response to anthropogenic disturbances within subarctic ecosystems

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
Anthropogenic disturbances associated with mineral extraction influenced space use and activity patterns in grizzly bears, and to a much lesser extent in black bears, in a subarctic ecosystem, signalling an asymmetric response. Abstract Niche partitioning is an evolutionary process that allows the coexistence of multiple species in a landscape. However,

Determinants of Poor Health‐Related Quality of Life in Patients With Food Allergy

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning analysis of 502 well‐characterised food‐allergic patients was used to identify key determinants of poor FA‐HRQL, defined as FAQLQ ≥ 5. The most relevant predictors were adult age, female sex, multiple food allergies, severe reactions, need for urgent care, onset before 18 years, and longer disease duration.
