International Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.In high‐grade serous ovarian cancer, malignant ascites frequently arise as ovarian cancer cells shed from the primary tumor and aggregate into tumorspheres, severely limiting treatment success. To date, little is known about the mechanisms governing tumorsphere endurance and metastasis within the ascites once formed.
