Fusing Local Patterns of Gabor and Non-subsampled Contourlet Transform for Face Recognition

2013 2nd IAPR Asian Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2013
Gabor features have been demonstrated to be very effective for face representation. Recently, non-sub sampled contour let transform (NSCT), which is a newly developed multi-resolution analysis tool based on contour let transform, is also used in facial image processing.

A Pan-Sharpening Based on the Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform: Application to Worldview-2 Imagery

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2014
Two pan-sharpening methods based on the non-subsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) are proposed. NSCT is very efficient in representing the directional information and capturing intrinsic geometrical structures of the objects. It has characteristics of high resolution, shift-invariance, and high directionality.

Directional energy based palmprint identification using Non Subsampled Contourlet Transform

2009 16th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2009
Palmprint based personal verification has gained preference over other biometric modalities due to its ease of acquisition, high user acceptance and reliability. This paper presents a novel palmprint based identification approach which uses the textural information available on the palmprint by employing the Non Subsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT ...

Cooperative Fusion of Stationary Wavelet Transform and Non-subsampled Contourlet for Multifocus Images

2009 Second International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design, 2009
In applications of digital imaging, when a lens focuses on a subject at a certain distance, all subjects at that distance are sharply focused. However, those subjects not at the same distance are out of focus and theoretically are not sharp. In this paper, we propose one novel multifocus image fusion method to make the final images contains all ...

An improved non-subsampled contourlet transform-based hybrid pan-sharpening algorithm

2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
Multi-resolution analysis (MRA) is a useful technique for multispectral (MS) image pan-sharpening. To overcome the limitation of the conventional wavelet-based method, multi-directional MRA approaches have been proposed to provide an efficient directional information representation.

SAR Image Denoising Using the Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform and Morphological Operators

2010
This paper introduces a novel algorithm that combines the Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT) and morphological operators to reduce the multiplicative noise of synthetic aperture radar images. The image corrupted by multiplicative noise is preprocessed and decomposed into several scales and directions using the NSCT.

Bi-Cubic Interpolation Algorithm Based on Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transformation

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
This article introduces several interpolation algorithms, and analyze the characteristic and disadvantage of wavelet transformation and contourlet transformation. A Bi-cubic interpolation algorithm based on non-subsampled contourlet transformation is described.

Feature identification of non-stochastic surfaces with non-subsampled contourlet transform

Optical Metrology and Inspection for Industrial Applications VII, 2020
Surface defects and texture features have a significant effect on the opticalcal properties of advanced optical components. However, most precision optical components have non-stochastic surfaces, so the current defect identification algorithm needs to be further improved to meet the quality inspection requirements for non-stochastic surfaces.

Interest points matching system based On Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform

2010 2nd International Conference on Computer Technology and Development, 2010
Interest point detection and matching is a basic computer vision task. This paper uses the Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT) detector with some local descriptors to develop a robust Interest point matching system. The NSCT-based detector is very efficient in extracting relevant image features that have good localization and rich geometric ...

Phase unwrapping in digital holography based on non-subsampled contourlet transform

Optics Communications, 2018
Abstract In the digital holographic measurement of complex surfaces, phase unwrapping is a critical step for accurate reconstruction. The phases of the complex amplitudes calculated from interferometric holograms are disturbed by speckle noise, thus reliable unwrapping results are difficult to be obtained.
